St. Peter’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Simhasana Cathedral, Thiruvananthapuram started its spiritual journey in 1976 with a vision of faith, worship and community service.
The first Holy Qurbono was celebrated on May 30, 1976, marking the beginning of the parish journey.
The foundation stone was laid on September 26, 1976. The grand consecration was conducted on February 13 and 14, 1982.
The church was elevated as Cathedral on September 25, 2006, continuing its mission of faith and service.
The parish continues to serve the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox community through worship, Sunday School, youth activities, prayer groups and charitable services.
